In an effort to help struggling families and institutions, Meals on Wheels Community Services has launched what has become known as the “Makeover Project”. The purpose of which is to “adopt” a family or institution and to give the premises a complete makeover, usually over the period of a day. It is always a VERY busy and very rewarding day indeed that usually includes tons of fun, feel-good moments, team-building exercises, and some good hard work.
Sometimes companies will choose to participate in their own “private” makeover project. For larger projects, a number of companies come together for the day. This is a life-changing experience, not only for those who are being assisted, but for everyone who participates.
