My only son and his wife have both passed away and I have been looking after my three grandchildren ever since. I am growing weak and it is very difficult. They often cry for their mother and father, but they are good children. They don’t even complain when the cupboards are empty. We thank God for the help that we receive from Meals on Wheels.

The twilight years. A time that, in an ideal world, should be spent surrounded by loved ones. A time that should be filled with reminiscences, delicious lunches and easy afternoons. A time that – in many people’s lives – is the first they’ve had to put their feet up, after a lifetime of work, stress and trying, against all odds, to be the best they can be.
